Something New + TBB Link-Up

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Well, by the strikeout you can see what elements will be in this post. Glad you’re here friends for the first style post of 2018 and the first style link-up with The Blended Blog. I’m feeling a little style inspired. I don’t know what the rollercoaster ride with me and style has been in 2017 but I hope that funk is behind me. So, let’s start the New Year off right with something new and something blue.

It might be a bad thing {probably not} but a new Tanger Outlet opened in October near my home. Fortunately, {not unfortunately} there is a Banana Republic Factory Store and a Loft Outlet not to mention Michael Kors and Kate Spade. I hope this doesn’t end badly but this might be a dangerous combination. There are other great stores too like Express, Polo and a great little kitchen gadget store.

Well, Banana Republic Factory Store has captured my heart and style estestic. They are classic to a T and they have petites. Their cuts fit me! I’ve discovered that I like their styles and fabrics and that I just can’t walk away from the classic girl that I am. After chasing after every great blogger and style challenge, I just have to settle on being me. I hope acceptance settles me and refocuses my style posts.

blue blazer

This look is made up of trousers, a plaid flannel, blazer, booties and topped off with a statement necklace. These pieces are all easily interchangeable in my wardrobe. Adding a little sparkle with flannel just upgrades the look a bit.

This outfit would be perfect on a casual Friday where a professional look is still important over being too casual.

I’m including some similar pieces found in this outfit in case you spot something that you like.

Don’t forget to add your link and stop by a few other bloggers. One goal I have for 2018 is to find some blog to read and follow.
Have a great day and be blessed! ~ Carrie
