Hey there, friends! So glad you’re here today. I’m also glad that March is rolling along and bringing signs of Spring! Oh, yeah, baby bring on Spring! Oh, yes and it’s link up day with The Blended Blog too. Don’t forget to share your sweet selves with us today!
Last week I promised to share with you my story with The Loft. I’ll try to condense it but bear with me if that doesn’t actually happen.
I haven’t ever been a shopper with The Loft but last October a Tanger Outlet opened close to our home so of course, I had to check it out. Well, I found a few pieces that I liked and made a purchase. While checking out, I decided to open an account because of some added discounts available. Purchase done and I headed for home.
This is where it starts to unravel. I opened my bag and found a top that wasn’t mine. I checked my receipt and I was charged for it. I called the store and they sent out a UPS envelope so I could return it easily without having to drive back out to the store. I thought that was excellent customer service. A couple of days later I received the envelope and popped the package into a UPS drop-off box. My mistake was not getting a tracking receipt.
Once I received my bill, I noticed the shirt had not been credited. I called the store. Yada, yada, yada and no tracking number, my bad but problem was addressed and all is good or so I though. I lost count of the number of calls to have this situation corrected but it was multiple. Finally, those charges were reversed but it was not a delightful situation from start to finish.
I also noticed that an extra $97.00+ was charged to my account. I quickly rehearsed in my head what I had purchased. No, I hadn’t made a second trip out there. I had made only one purchase. I called the store again. They directed me to the credit card company. I emailed them regarding the issue. A few days later the charges were reversed. A few days later they reappeared. I called the store again to plead for help. I emailed the credit card company again. I called the store, again and again, to have them trace the transaction. Yada, yada, yada. Finally, after so many calls that I had lost count, one assistant manager took the bull by the horns and did some real research. Guess what? She called me back a day or so later. Guess what else? The charges were not mine. Thank you! Yes, I knew they weren’t. The charges would be reversed. She explained as best she could about the situation and what could have happened. She apologized. She also offered me a $25.00 gift card and asked me to give them another chance.
I promptly went to the store for the gift card and found a blouse I loved. So here it is.
I love the colors in this blouse and I just couldn’t pass it up. I knew it would be perfect for Spring. I knew it would be perfect with red pants. It ended well. I’m still a shopper at The Loft. Are you?
Have a great day and don’t forget to add your link with us today.
Be blessed! ~ Carrie
