Happy first Monday of August! You know what that means, right? It’s TBB Asks time and today it’s about Party Time! Who doesn’t love a party and a summer party at that? I’m raising my hand with a resounding YES! Let’s get this party started!
1. Favorite B-day party as a child? Why can’t I remember this? I do know my mom would make fabulous cakes for me when I was young. You know the kind in animal shapes with candy noses and such. I LOVE looking at those cakes but I was young… I do remember my husband planning a surprise party for me a few years ago with my sweet friends. LOVED it!
2. Entertaining? I do like to entertain but my perfectionist tendencies can prevent me from doing it very often. And darn it…I just can’t compete with being Pinterest perfect either.
3. Favorite parties? My favorite parties are simple - food, friends and chilling. Catching up with great conversations and meeting new people at parties makes my heart smile.
4. Size of parties? I prefer smaller parties. Large parties can overwhelm me.
5. Favorite thing to do at parties? Can I say eat and talk? Ok, I’ll try not to talk with food in my mouth but no promises if I get excited and want to interject something.
6. Favorite party foods? Chips and salsa, chips and queso, chips and guacamole. I mean I live in Texas and chips and something are a food group down here. No good party exists without them.
7. Favorite B-day cake flavor? Chocolate of course but I typically like any kind of cake. I adore yellow cake with chocolate frosting too.
8. Balloons? Yes, they are perfect for a party but I hate trying to get them in and out of my car and/or drive with them.
9. Best party song? Not sure on this one, but it could be Prince’s 1999.
10. Do I like to dance? I think I can…I think I can but I hope it doesn’t look like this.
