Saturday is the day when I run most of my errands. Target runs and grocery shopping are typically at the top of my to-do list. Even though it’s a casual day, I don’t want to look sloppy when I’m out and about. I don’t want to be all dressed up either but having a look that is put-together and not by accident is important to me. I just feel better when I am put-together.
Running errands looks do not have to be difficult. They can be quite simple. They don’t require a lot of thought but instead it is a look that is intentional. Ease and intention are a perfect style combination.
What does Saturday casual look like for you? For me, thatt can be a few things but it typically looks a little like this look. It’s almost always jeans {in cooler months anyway} plus a little layering. I love layers because it gives a look dimension and put-together.
When layering you can:
1. stick to tone on tone
2. add various textures for a visual appeal
3. mix patterns
4. mix complimentary colors
5. use pieces from various seasons {a spring/summer top under a fall/winter sweater}
There are lots of possibilities. My choice was a tone on tone. Grey on grey is something that I think works and it works for me. Since this sweater has a sporty feel, I added the sneakers to keep in line with that vibe.
