Casual Day + TBB Link-Up

Hello sweet friends! Here we are at T -5 to Christmas! Are you ready? I have to admit that I am struggling to be ready. I tried to mix up and bake some cookies and none of that! Major fail! Who knew that English walnuts would actually ruin my favorite cookies that actually need black walnuts? And guess what? Texas doesn’t grow black walnuts. I don’t have any more from home {Iowa}. I’m on the hunt for some though because I need me some Ice Box Cookies.

And why do hubbies have to be so darn hard to shop for? I mean I have nothing! Everyone else was taken care of right after Thanksgiving. I really have no ideas for him. Is that sad or normal? Talk to me, friends!

Alright enough of that! Sharing a casual Friday look from work last week. Oh, and I want to share about some horrible people {women who hate women} at work but I’ll refrain. My flesh is showing uo and my frustration is showing. Instead I’m rushing to my blogging buddies who are kind and encouraging. I feel blessed to know them and have them in my life. But I REALLY need your prayers so I don’t lose my mind over the women haters. Seriously!

It was cold last Friday so I was able to pull out my favorite casual jacket out and wear it. I love the mix of camo and fur. It’s so fun! I feel kinda young, hip and dare I say a little edgy when I wear. Gives me back my spunk, sass and attitude. I’m hoping that’s good attitude, friends.

Fridays are kinda a hair up day especially when I need to wash it but I either forget or just don’t want to it. Anybody else ever in that boat?

I just picked up this little pullover at Target. On sale for $12. Scored because I needed a sweater that wasn’t actually a cardigan. Love cardigans but I need a little versatility.

Simple pullover with skinnies and booties for a relaxed Friday. Way to end the work week. All the favorites!

Hope you’re ready to Christmas and not a slacker like me this year. I hope it’s been a beautiful season for you so far.

  • Love a little edge/sass on a classic look - hopefully this fab look gave you the attitude you needed to deal with the drama ladies... ugh. My husband and I both got new bikes this spring, so we're not doing Christmas gifts, which makes that easy :) But I probably would have done some sort of subscription service as a gift for him this year. There are so many good ones out there right now! Butcherbox, sock club, razors, you name it!
    • How fun! Are you riding alot when the weather is good? Thanks for the gift ideas...I'm off to google.
  • Lisa Richardson

Great outfit! Yes, husbands are hard to shop for. I am often stuck not knowing what to get mine. I actually googled "best presents for husbands" and that helped. Interesting that you mention women haters as I am in a similar setting in a women's choir I sing in. Women can be so difficult, some more than others. The most easy going work atmosphere I have ever been in was when I was in college and worked at a grocery store in the produce department with a bunch of guys. They can be so much easier to deal with. I have been praying for me in my difficult women situation and I will add you to my prayers. :) I hope things get better.
    • Lori, I agree that men are so much easier to work with and I'm thankful there are plenty in my office. I know I definitely need to pray more and change my perspective. I hope your situation improves, sweet lady!
  • You look adorable as always friend! Yes, shopping for my husband is so hard. We bought a new TV/stand this year, and that was supposed to be our only present to each other. But then he put some other gifts under the tree, so I had to come up with something else! Have a very Merry Christmas!

I agree with Lana - adorable as always. Love the warm layers and that is a great sweater! Merry Christmas to you and yours and welcome by and join my linkup this week too. As you know I love your style and blog very much. =) A new one goes live every Thursday! <3 Ada.

Definitely a score on that sweater! I love cardigans too, but theres nothing like the cozy feel of a sweater:) Fridays are usually hair up days for me too, mainly because I was too lazy to wash it (secret lol). Hope you have a wonderful holiday and thanks for hosting xo Mel

The jacket is darling and you do look like you have a bit of spunk! :) Give those women haters at the office - - - - .! Thanks so much for sharing with Share Your Cup. I'm sure it's not intentional, but I'm not seeing the party listed in your list. hugs, Jann
