Project Sister Act / Velvet

Welcome to Project Sister Act for January! The theme is velvet and I’m definitely crushing on it these days! This post is super fun because you’ll find velvet styled across the ages from the teens, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s! I truly hope this post is inspiring to you. It has been super fun to collaborate with bloggers across these different age brackets. Please stop by and give them some love today. I would really appreciate it!

{In case you didn’t know it, I am the oldest one here being in my 50’s. Big surprise, right?!}

I remember having a huge crush on velvet when I was young. About the only time I was able to truly embrace that crush was during Christmas. Now that was the time when velvet dresses were the jam. I’m sure I was probably joyfully swooning in those days. Kinda like the present as I swoon over this velvet top.

How about an adult velvet look that could be Christmas or not or a night out with your husband. I’m raising my hand and saying I want that one. Funny how we change as we grow up {read get older}.

velvet + skirt

These little bell sleeves just make me giddy and want to shimmy in this skirt. How fun, right?

And then there is the back. It’s pretty fabulous!

velvet back

I adore this velvet top for several reasons. I love that it’s fitted and fits me without being over the top tight. The back V-cut is divine. It’s low enough to be appropriate and yet make a girl feel just a little sexy. The sleeves. What can I say? I feel pretty in a bell sleeve that is for sure.

I’ve featured this velvet top before. It was a gift from Zaful and the opinions are my own.

Be sure to stop and get more of an awesome velvet fix today. Here’s the rest of the Sister Act Project Lineup:

Teens – Eve (theworldaccordingtoeve)

20s – Emily (bailylamb)

30s – Sandy (sandyalamode)
40’s – Sheela (sheelawrites)

Hope your day is BEAUTIFUL and your weekend is BLESSED!
