Happy Monday, Lovelies! Hope your weekend was relaxing but it’s Monday and that means it is back to the office for another week of work.
During the summer I purchased this little grey sheath dress on major sale for $10.00 at Old Navy. {Actually, I picked up a black one as well}. I thought it would be a good purchase because I knew I could wear it all summer and remix it for the fall and winter seasons.
Here’s the basic dress. It is sleeveless and zips down the back. It also has a nicely defined waist, which looks fantastic with a belt. During the summer I would add some jewelry and slip into some sandals. If it wasn’t unbearably hot, I might even add a lightweight scarf. But this is how it looks solo.
We had a nice little drop in temps this weekend, so I took the opportunity to have my sweet hubs snap some pictures as I styled the outfits that have been brewing in my head for the grey sheath dress once the fall weather set in.
First up, I simply added a blouse. I chose a chiffon because it provides less bulk than cotton. The dress already fits perfectly so I didn’t want to add any bulk to it {or me}.

Next up is the addition of tights and booties with the blouse. With so many tights to choose from in my dresser drawer, I’m not sure this is the pair I actually like the best. It works but it wouldn’t be a favorite or go-to outfit. I like the concept of the outfit but I think I would prefer tights with a little color, which is very doable with the blouse that’s paired with the dress.

Another shot at tights and I like the outfit much better because the cardigan adds a little pop of color. True confession - I love mustard. Well, I actually hate real {condiment} mustard but for a color - it’s love at first sight for me.

Jean Jacket? Yes, please! Comfy and casual, yet it can be worn to the office. By the way, this is my favorite picture because my neighbor drove by while we were in the midst of this photo. She stopped and let me know she catches the blog. Big smile! Totally made my day!

Thought I would throw in a little trend with the plaid scarf, which is very similar to the popular blanket scarves have been all of the stores and web lately.

Last up, I paired the dress with a mint cardigan and pearls. This is just so simple and yet another easy outfit for work.

There you go! Seven outfits with one simple dress. Fantastic piece to have in the wardrobe!
What the heck! Why don’t I just throw in one more? Here’s one with the black sheath dress. Ten bucks for this one as well!

What about you? What’s the piece in your wardrobe that you can remix multiple ways and/or for multiple seasons? Let me hear it lovelies!
