Marriage: Encouraging Your Spouse

marriage(1)

Well, friends, it happened. Last Thursday the man and I were well and therefore we made it to Re|engage. All I can say is finally.... At the Opening Session, we heard a testimony from a couple that we knew from our days leading the MilitaryLife ministry. It is always encouraging to hear from other couples that have struggled in their marriage. This particular couple has been married for 18 years. It was the second marriage for both of them and with that came a blended family. They dealt with ... Continue Reading...

Hello sweet friends! The 4-1-1 today is Spring is coming...March 20th will make it official. I know we are barely into February and winter has a stronghold all over the place but for some reason I am excited about Spring style. Normally, my lines between Spring and Summer get totally blurred but this year the color palette and the patterns have me super inspired. So, I'm planning to embrace Spring in all of its beauty. To help me pull together that Spring wardrobe, I spent some time at our ... Continue Reading...

I'm so excited about what I accomplished in the reading category during January. I totally surprised myself but then again it was cold and dark outside so wrapping up in a blanket with a book was just the best thing to do. Please note I'm not really a book review writer but instead just sharing my thoughts and what spoke to me in each book. Hope you enjoy! The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin This book is most likely one of my favorite of all-time. Something in Gretchen's writing style ... Continue Reading...

Hello there friends! First Monday of the month means it's TBB Asks, which is one of my favorite posts! Hope you enjoy and don't forget to share your link at The Blended Blog. Kisses or hugs? I think in lots of ways I’ve become a hugger and especially lately when my hubby and I are trying to not spread the germs between us. Candy or Flowers? Since I’m a flower killer, I’m going to say candy BUT I just adore a little bouquet of mixed fresh flowers. Baking or Cooking? I try to enjoy ... Continue Reading...

January: A Recap

The Happiness Project ~ This book is most likely one of my favorite of all-time. Something in Gretchen's writing style and honesty just appealed to me. I loved how dedicated she was to research happiness and share her findings. I totally enjoyed what she focused on and what allowed her change during her yearlong happiness project. Like me, she wasn't really unhappy but rather just want to improve areas of her life that weren't up to the place she wanted them to be. This book was the push I ... Continue Reading...
