Remix Rewear Restyle & Giveaway Winner

Thank you everyone who participated in the giveaway! It was a blast to host it. This was my first experience with hosting a giveaway and using Rafflecopter. I have to give a shout out to Rafflecopter - they make it super easy to use for a giveaway and generate a random winner. If you are thinking about having a giveaway on your blog then I would highly recommend using it.

And the winner is: SHAUNACEY BONNEVILLE!! Congrats fellow style and fashionista blogger! If you haven’t visited her blog, you can find it here. What you’ll find is a new mommy who chronicles her life with Mr. B & mini-me. She is not a frumpy mom at all but shares her struggles to be fashionable with ease due to her busy life. Hope you go and check her out!

And now it is time for Remix-Rewear-Restyle, the Monday link up at Greater than Rubies. This week Caitlin gave the challenge to remix using patterned bottoms. When I first read it, I thought to myself that would be a fun challenge. Then I went to closet and to my dresser and realized I had some patterned bottoms prior to one of several purging fests within the last few months. I had some ideas in my head but they quickly went out the window when I realized those pieces were long gone from my wardrobe. Fortunately, I did find a pair of shorts that I could use for the challenge.

Honestly, I have never worn these shorts. I think I purchased them from Old Navy a couple of years ago. I added a mint colored tee but these shorts are so neutral I think they can be paired with several options. Added some jewelry and a pop of color with the necklace + sandals = summertime!

Looking forward to seeing what other patterned bottoms are out there. Head on over to Greater than Rubies and join in!

A little update just in case you read my goals last week. Today I did a little running…probably out of guilt since a year ago my hubby and I ran a Wounded Warrior 10K. No there was no 10K today but a girls gotta start somewhere, right. In honor and memory of what was and hopefully what will be again. Drum roll….sorry it’s blurry!

Linking up: Greater than Rubies. More Pieces of Me. On the Daily Express.

      Yay, for winning!
    • :)
  • I can't believe you've never worn those shorts before - they are so pretty on you! I'm having a hard time finding patterned shorts for the summer challenge. I'm tall so anything shorter than 6" looks way too short on me. PS Congrats Shaunacey!
    • Lana, it's sad but true! I have a few things in my closet that I have never worn but now I'm working on that as I've purging and learning to remix things. I think I just didn't know what to wear with those shorts.
  • Mary J.
Such a cute outfit! Love those shorts-they will work great for the summer challenge!
    • Thank you! Glad I didn't get rid of them when I was cleaning out the shorts drawer.
  • Very cute shorts! I agree, you could wear them with lots of colors - or stripes, if you have stripes in a similar color. :)
    • I agree, Selah! I have so many options now that I never thought about prior to learning to remix.
  • Very pretty look! Much Love, Tania http://inspiremyfancy.blogspot.com/
    • Thanks, Tania! Glad you stopped by!
  • Amy
Very cute! I think the mint top looks great with those shorts! I know sometimes I have trouble styling a piece for the first time, but after I get over that hump it gets a lot easier. Hopefully that will be the case for you with these shorts!
    • I agree with you Amy. When I look back at the first challenge I tried, I found it a little frustrating but now I think remixing is fun. It's a still a challenge but one that I totally enjoy! Glad you stopped by!

Your shorts, necklace and earrings are great Carrie. I love and own a lot of Old Navy's Shorts. Hope the new job is going well, also. =) I am hosting a link-up myself today that I'd love for you to join with a future OOTD. If you do, please include a link to my blog. Thanks so much.
