The Spring Style Me Challenge at Get Your Pretty On just wrapped up. I have to say that not only was it a lot of fun and bunches of great style but relationships were forged. As with each challenge, the ladies who participate are simply lovely people. They encourage and support one another to grow and embrace new fashion challenges as well as with life in general. Honestly, I have been blogging with a group of ladies for the past year that I met through the first challenge. Today, I want to feature a couple of precious ladies from the Challenge, Jan and Traci. Jan is veteran challenge participant and Traci just finished her first challenge. {Also, giving a shout out to Leslie who blogs at Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After who gave me the idea with this post}.
First up is Jan and what she has to say about the challenges.
Last spring I read about a style challenge that Alison of Get Your Pretty On was hosting. I decided to join at the last-minute and I am so glad I did. I learned a lot about how to put pieces together and to step out of my neutral, matching style and try crazy things like pattern mixing! More importantly though is the support all the ladies in the challenges give to each other, not only in fashion but also in general. We have had challengers deal with real life issues during some of the challenges and we have all been able to lend a kind word or say a prayer to help. I have done 6 challenges now and continue to enjoy and learn from each one. I have made some new online friends along the way too! Looking forward to seeing what Alison has in store for us with the next summer challenge coming up!
Here’s a peek into her great style with a couple of looks from the Spring Challenge.
I love both of these looks on Jan. I have watched her over the last year and I have seen her bloom into such great style. I typically look for her post each morning in the Facebook group because I know I’ll love her interpretation of the OOTD. She’s very stylish!
Next up is Traci. She is a newbie with this being her first challenge. I know she’s thrilled that she signed up and here’s what she has to say about her experience.
When I signed up for the GYPO 2015 Spring Challenge, I expected to get a shopping list, and a twenty-one day outfit capsule. What I didn’t expect was to love camouflage pants. At first I wasn’t even going to purchase them, then I thought challenge…push yourself outside of your comfort zone, just try them. I’m so glad that I decided to take the risk, they are my favorite piece from the shopping list. However, the best part of all, the Facebook page was something I never expected. Fifteen hundred women, different in size, shape, in different stages of life, and even from different countries coming together to encourage, empower, advise and pray for each other…a sisterhood of beautiful women, they are the best part of the challenge.
Great style, don’t you think? Traci looked this stylish in all of her looks. Both of these ladies represent the beauty of the challenge.
For me, last week was pretty much a picture fail for the remainder of the outfits. I’m posting a couple looks and recapping with my favorites from the challenge.
This look was from Day 19 ~ dark skinny jeans, black top + sandals. I love the chic simplicity of this look. It is one of those looks that is “me”. Love it when that happens!

Day 20 ~ white denim, white tank + chambray. I had a hard time with the chambray but I took the leap and tried white on white. I totally think that I like it! Too much sun in those eyes though…

My top three favorite looks from the challenge. The first look is from week one and look #1. You can find the outfit details here.

That’s a wrap on the Spring Style Me Challenge but if you’re interested, the Summer Challenge is right around the corner. I’ll be posting about it when registration opens.
Hope you’ll stop by and check out the blogs of my friends who have also been participating in the challenge. More great style to be seen for sure!
Have a lovely day, friends!
This is where I link up.
