It’s my September Capsule Report for Week One. I’m already struggling with a love/hate relationship with my pieces and looks. When I picked my capsule pieces I intentionally chose some pieces that I knew I wouldn’t be wearing to work but I wanted to have some variety and versatility. I also wanted to create a well-rounded capsule. It seems I gravitate toward pieces and looks that are work appropriate for my office and can easily forget I do other things besides just work.
Looks 1 & 2 are casual looks that I could wear to work {with the sweater}.

These windowpane pants are one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. I’m excited that I have seen windowpane in stores this fall. I haven’t worn this cobalt tank with the pants before but it’s a look I loved immediately. Showing it here untucked and a front tuck. When I leave tops untucked they typically hit me in area that winds up being unflattering. I would wear this top tucked with these pants.

Unfortunately, my work environment is not suitable for this look but I had to have a pencil skirt in this capsule. This typically is an office look I would wear if I could. These pieces embody the professional side of me. I’ll keep the pencil skirt regardless whether I rarely wear it or not. A black pencil skirt is always a staple in about any wardrobe.

A chambray looks great with a black pencil skirt too. I added the leopard scarf for a little visual interest.

This look is perfect for my work environment. I never knew how much I would love camo pants until I added them to my wardrobe. I haven’t worn them with chambray until now and this is a perfect casual look. Although you can’t see my shoes, I’m wearing neutral heels. Skinny pants and heels looks great on all of us ladies.

Here I changed to flats for another option for this look.
This breezy windowpane tops is a year round favorite of mine. It’s perfect for summer as a solo piece and pairs well with sweaters and jackets for cooler seasons. I haven’t worn it with white jeans before this capsule. I added the leopard print flats for a little pattern mixing.

This look has been a favorite during the summer except my white bottoms were shorts and not skinny jeans.

That’s the looks for the first week. I haven’t worn all of these looks but am putting them together to encourage myself {and hopefully you} to get by with fewer pieces and create more.
Feel free to link up your looks and share them on Instagram using #septembercapsule for the hashtag.
