The Best Finds at Aldi

the best finds at ALDI

Grocery shopping. Love it or Hate it? I actually enjoy grocery shopping when the store isn’t crowded. I like food and I like shopping for it. Is that weird? Truth is I’ve liked to grocery shop since I was a kid. I enjoyed pushing a cart down the aisles and looking at the variety of items to choose from. It was sort of magically to me I guess.

Now, years later I still like perusing the items on the shelves but my mission has changed. Today I’m typically looking for items that fit into a clean eating lifestyle.

I’m looking to find these kinds of items:

  • Non-GMO
  • Organic
  • Local
  • Fair Trade

Because I can find items that fit into these categories I am a regular shopper at Aldi. I also shop different Aldis because I live in one town and work in another. Although they typically carry the same items, I have a favorite one that has a better variety of what I’m looking to purchase. Realistically, I cannot do all of my shopping at Aldi but for me there isn’t one store that carries everything I want so I’m okay with shopping in multiple stores.

The good at Aldi and this is not exhaustive but rather a sampling of what you can find.

Just a few organic produce options.

This concludes my trip through Aldi. When I snapped these photos, I wasn’t in favorite Aldi, which is much more organized. I was a little bummed to see the disarray in this store. Again, this is not exhaustive of what can be found but instead a sampling of options. Best part? It’s quite a bit less expensive than other stores including Wal-Mart and Target.

I really want to put good things in my body. Caring for it well is my responsibility. The Word says that it a temple of the Holy Spirit but…that doesn’t mean I never eat a cookie because I never met a cookie I didn’t like.

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,  for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

~1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Have the BEST day!

I have been an Aldi's shopper for almost 30 years! Not exclusively but have always loved their simple shopping experience, the prices, the atmosphere and now especially their great offerings. They have always had a good selection but now it seems like every time I visit there is something new and better that I fall in love with. Their produce is usually one of the best buys as well. Thanks for sharing!
    • Wow! That's amazing...30 years. We just started getting Aldi down here in TX. So glad to know another Aldi shopper. Most of the time I get a negative response when I try to convince people that it definitely has its benefits. Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you have the best week!

I know Aldi and Trader Joe's are "related" so to speak and mine is so much closer than Trader Joe's for me. Yay for your post because I think a lot of people don't know what Aldi is all about and shy away from it. Simple shopping is also a plus! Happy Monday Carrie : )
    • I agree with simple shopping. Too many choices makes shopping overwhelming and I really love simple. Trader Joe's is a little bit of a trek for me but one of these weekends I'm going to stop in again at one. It's been a little while. Hope you've had a great day, friend!
  • Living on Cloud Nine
Well I just love this to pieces! We have two all these nearby and I'm always wondering what are the best things that other people find there. I've always liked their canned mushrooms, their brown gravy mix, their seasonal chocolates, their produce of Course and their spices. We do not have a Trader Joe's close either so I always love that I can find some goodies at Aldis at great prices! .
    • Ok, their chocolates are the BEST! I've been known to eat a few of those. Yay, for Aldi. It makes life a little more simple for me. Have a great week, friend!
  • I don't mind grocery shopping when it is not crowded, too! I just don't like unpacking and putting away the groceries. My goal of 2017 is to be more healthy - limit sugars! Lisa Daily Style Finds
    • It is kinda crazy when you think about loading your cart and then unloading and packing and unpacking. I'm not fond of that either but I do love to look at all the options available at Aldi. Yes, for being healthy in 2017. I'm here if you need any help along the way.
  • I love grocery shopping by myself! hehe...I don't think we have one of these near us, I think I heard that one was going in near us...but not totally sure. If it does I'll have to check it out!
    • I like to go by myself too but when the hubby is there I do get help with the bags!
  • I used to shop at Trader Joe's a lot for items like this (and more) but then we moved to a no TJ's town... so Aldi has somewhat become my replacement. I love their organic store brand! A lot of these items are on my list regularly too.
    • Yay! I love to hear of others that see the awesome things available at Aldi. Thanks for stopping by Anne! Hope you have a great week!
  • I am not a fan of grocery shopping. I try to go only once a week but it's a chore I could definitely do without! We don't have any Aldi stores nearby, but it looks like a good one!
    • At least it's probably easier with just two of you now. It's super easy now for us.
  • I'm so happy that we got both a TJ's and an Aldi in our town in the last 4 years! I hit both of them frequently as well as Freshfield Farms! I used to love grocery shopping. I don't hate it now but I can think of other shopping I like better :)
    • Yep, there is definitely better shopping but....we gotta eat!
