Happy Monday! Hope y’all had a wonderful weekend. We sure did and we even had time for a little date night. It seems like it has been awhile since the hubby and I had a little date night. We have had many things going on and just have not taken the time to plan a night out together. Enter the new Avengers movie. Honestly, I never thought I would be a fan of Marvel comic movies but I am. OK, not a fanatic or anything but we did buy tickets early and stood in line for the movie. In the end, I didn’t like the story line that much or how the characters had evolved in the script but I’m still a fan of the Avengers. I just happen to like the previous flick better than this one.
Since this was our first casual date night out since the weather warmed up, it was the perfect opportunity for shorts. I’m a huge fan of shorts with sweaters or long-sleeved blouses. For me, I don’t mind my legs exposed even when the temps are cool, but when my shoulders and arms are cold, I tend to be miserable. I added the sweater inside of the theater because with a sell out crowd the air conditioning was in high gear.
I do have a little pattern mixing going here with the stripes and floral shoes. Stripes and floral are everywhere and I don’t think I’ve seen a combination of it that I haven’t like thus far.

Maybe you’re not a sweater girl with shorts. If not, have you tried a long-sleeved blouse? Here’s an option going with the popular print of Spring - gingham.
Again, a little pattern mixing focusing on pink. Still trying to embrace pink and it helps the hubby really likes me in it.

Do you have any casual date night looks planned as the weather gets warmer? Have you paired shorts with some long-sleeved or with a sweater? You should it puts those pieces from other seasons to work and you can get multiple looks out of them across the seasons.
Hope you have a lovely day, friends!
