Sometimes I Don’t See Clearly

clearly

Yay, for Thanksgiving Week! When I was teaching this was a favorite week because we were off of school. It was such a great time to be with loved ones around the table eating turkey with all the trimmings and then get it gear for Christmas. One of the perks I definitely miss from the world of education. But regardless, yay that this week has arrived and it's a short one on the work calendar. I hope this post finds you gearing up to embrace all of the holiday with its moments of overeating ... Continue Reading...

Kindness & Gratitude

Well, I love how life just happens sometimes. You know how things just come together and the light bulb goes on and something makes complete sense. Those have been happening to me more and more lately. For me, I know it is the Lord working my life and my heart. That makes me super excited for every single day because I know something is happening. Which brings me to today and what I'm busting at the seams to share with you. Travel with me to the day I attended an ALIGN workshop to help me ... Continue Reading...

Is it a Happy Halloween?

Tomorrow is the day. One of those days that children wait for anxiously to come to fruition. By now, they have their costume picked out and are ready to head out of the door to get as much candy as possible. At least that is how I remember it from my childhood. But I cannot say the same thing for my daughter. You see for years I was on a Halloween boycott of sorts. It's a little long and complicated so I'll spare the details of how my religious ideas crossed that day off the calendar for ... Continue Reading...

How words are used can build up or tear down. They can grow great things in a person or not. Words create a narrative and words help to define you and me. Have you thought about the narrative that generally runs through your ... Continue Reading...

Pray for Texas

Friends, I know you know about what's been happening in Texas. The magnitude of the destruction and barrage of images revealing the enormity of the suffering is heartbreaking. Truly, I love Texas! It is not my place of birth nor my first home but I can't image living any place else while I'm moving and breathing this side of Heaven. This week I have been touched by the outpouring of my fellow Texans as they came to the rescue of their neighbors. Tragedy has a way of making the playing field ... Continue Reading...

54 Things I’ve Learned in 54 years!

54 things I've learned in 54 years!

Yesterday, I turned 54 years old. I have to admit that I wasn't excited about this birthday. It wasn't so much my age as where I am in life right. I haven't been in a good place for awhile on lots of levels which made me just want to ignore the day. I sorta did that but I also spent some time in reflection. This is not a hard thing for me. As an introvert I can easily travel inside and try to dissect life and what's really brewing in my heart. I thought I would share some of those things that ... Continue Reading...
