Welcome, 2019! Glad you have arrived and I look forward to all the unfolding and unwrapping that will happen in the next 365 days. There will be surprises of this I am certain. Some will bring joy and some may not, but the Lord knows how all of it will fall into place. My hope is that I will walk in grace and with grace in the upcoming days, weeks, and months.
As I’ve been thinking about plans and/or goals for the New Year, I decided to take a step back and reflect on where I’ve been and where I want to go with this little blog. For those of you who have been following for quite a while, then you might remember this spot was originally named A Lovely Little Wardrobe. Although I truly adored that name, I felt it was too long and wordy. I also felt it didn’t reflect exactly what I wanted to convey with my blog. I really wanted to cultivate more of a lifestyle blog and not just style. I mean this whole blogging started with clothing in mind, but I have more things I want to blog about. Enter a new name - A Stylish Fit. This was meant to encompass style, fitness and more of life. I still don’t love the title of my blog. I still want to change it, but that is just a reflection of my own perfectionism. It can be paralyzing. So, will my title change yet again? Stay tuned.
I love words. I do. Words have meaning. Words pull together thoughts. Words fasciate me. Therefore a few words that I want to focus on in 2019 include:
- Renewal ~ living and embracing how the Lord has been restoring my life
- Dwell ~ linger and savor in the Word
- Grace ~ free and unmerited favor; offer it generously to others
I guess it stands to reason that my love of words comes together in writing. I truly enjoy blogging and the outlet for writing and creativity.
Other things I’m loving and want to explore and share this year include:
- Toxin-free lifestyle
- Using Essential Oils
- Organic food
- Gardening
- Intermittent Fasting with FASTer Way to Fat Loss
- Monat Hair Products
As far as my wardrobe is concerned, I’m going to be following a neutral palette. I’m also going to bring back Create 28. I started this series a few years ago and then stopped. I decided to revive it using only neutrals and looks for work. It should be fun! It should allow me to create a more cohesive wardrobe instead of having a hodgepodge of pieces that don’t really go together and make this little perfection a basket case of anxiety just trying to get dressed each morning.
Maybe there will be more to write about. Regardless, I hope to “see” you often in the coming year.
Happy New Year, sweet readers!
Hugs, Carrie xoxoxo
