Manic Monday

Hello there! Happy Monday especially if you’re on Spring Break. I wish I was on Spring Break but alas I’ll be work today. What about you? Spring Break? Work? Something else?

Basically, last week took me by storm. On Monday we adopted a little rescue puppy. It’s been a while since we’ve had a dog. A puppy hasn’t been in the picture for even longer. Who knew or remembered that they are like having a little toddler? Yep, it’s been that long and I had no clue. Thanks to my hubby things are going smoothly. He has taken all the potty shifts, walks, and feedings. Me? I just cuddle and play. Sounds fair, right? Well, all is fair in the love of a puppy, I guess.

Since last week was a whirlwind, my little brain has been on overload and I didn’t have anything planned for today’s post and wasn’t feeling anything creative. Then I thought about our puppy - Gracie and I remembered My Happiness Project. Adopting a pet definitely fits into *Accept New Challenges. Yes, a puppy is a challenge.

Why take on a challenge of a puppy?

1. A puppy is so cute and lovable.

2. A puppy bring a sense of joy.

3. This puppy is bringing us closer together as we tag-team with the time needed to train her.

4. This puppy is reminding us of the sweetness of having her respond to our love.

5. Rescuing a puppy {or dog} gives them a home.

And that is a little bit of Gracie…more to come!

Have a beautiful day! ~ Carrie

Oh Gracie is one lucky doggie! You are going to have so much love and I see the bond already! She is precious, just like her new mama!
  • So cute!!!!
  • Oof, I really don't think I could handle puppy in my life (already living with someone who's just barely not a toddler anymore, ha!) but she is SO CUTE! I'm glad you get the joys of her, and a willingly helpful hubby to handle some of the other stuff ;-)
  • So dang cute!!! How big will she get?
  • There is nothing like rescuing an animal. I know they can sense that love & caring after being in a shelter where attention is so minimal. you've just made a friend for life. Cant wait to see how fast she grows!!!!
  • Gracie is adorable. The puppy stage is really hard and very much like having a naughty child but it is so rewarding once you get past that stage. I adore our dog and wouldn't be without her #mmbc
  • It just melts my heart to read this, Carrie!!! I always want to rescue ALL of them...they are so wonderful and make us better people!! XOXO Jodie www.jtouchofstyle.com
