And it’s here! The holidays, which are the best time of the year for sure have arrived at a little home in Texas. The transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas arrived in full force this weekend with the Mr. taking on much of the decorating. Let me say I’m super grateful for him because as I’ve said before, I’m a little clueless in the decorating area.
Thanksgiving decor went bye until next year…
Our dilemna was trying to find the perfect tree for our new home. We have a small tree but needed a larger one to fill the space we had picked out next to the fireplace. We looked and looked and looked until we finally decided on one. Not the perfect one but one.
Round One: Christmas decor bringing Joy and Noel to a home in Texas.
Here’s the guy trying to make my holiday home decor dreams come true.
This was the start of the deocrating festivities, but after the tree was up we decided it didn’t fit. Took it down, repacked and exchanged for the perfect tree.
Round Two: Learning from mistakes in Round One
The tree and fireplace turned out great! Team effort in shopping and decision making. Two heads are better than one for sure.
The coffee table and end table with the Nativity set my grandma made years ago. Red wax dribbled on it one year at her house.
The kitchen turned out well too!
This is the first home we’ve had that is really great for decorating and has the perfect place for a tree. Bring on the season! We are ready to fully embrace Christmas!
Have the best week and let the joy of the season reign in your heart!
Hugs, Carrie
