TBB Asks: October Edition

Hello, friends! It’s been awhile but I’m glad to be here today with my friends at The Blended Blog. I’m also glad that October is here! Please, please, please bring us some cooler temps down here in Texas. Something below 80 degrees would be beautiful and make me believe it’s fall in the South. A girl can dream, right?!

Anyway, how about joining in today and linking up your post for the October edition of TBB Asks? I hope you do because I want to read your posts and hopefully reconnect with some of my cyber friends. Since I went back to teaching my life has turned upside down and my free time is a few minutes here and there, but I’ve missed blogging and hoping I can get back on the wagon. So here goes…

1. Favorite fall color? Oh, how I love jewel tones. All of them but especially burnt orange, mustard, and wine of course.

2. Apple Cider HOT or COLD? Although I’m not a huge Apple Cider fan, I do like some hot cider now and then. Yum!

3. Caramel Apple: Yes or No. I’ve never been a fan of caramel apples. Yes, I’ve eaten them but it’s not something I would choose, so I guess my answer is no, but on the other hand, these looks super delish.

4. Pumpkin Doughnut or Apple Cider Doughnut? I’ve never heard of an Apple Cider Doughnut and it doesn’t sound that appealing to me. On the other hand, bring on the pumpkin doughnuts, please. Cake doughnut that is and with a little-sprinkled sugar. Yum!

5. Long or short cardigan? I think I’m almost over the short cardigans these days. I’ve been replacing a few of them with long cardigans so I guess they are my new fall love language.

6. Favorite Football or Fall Party Food? Isn’t it always chips and queso? I think so!

7. Orange or white pumpkins? I guess I’m totally traditional in this sense because I’m an orange pumpkin girl. White pumpkins look a little sick to me…like they need some color. Maybe they just look a little scary too.

8. Hayride or bonfire? I haven’t been on a hayride in forever but it sounds like fun to me. It’s been years since I’ve been to a bonfire too. My memory says that I love both! Today, I think I would choose a small friendly bonfire and roast some marshmallows and make some smores. Sounds about like a perfect fall evening to me.

9. Favorite Fall Baked Good? Pumpkin bread, of course! I could live on this stuff! Then again, a pumpkin scone would be to die for because I adore scones!

10. Most anticipated fall activity? I think I’m actually looking forward to living in a neighborhood with a school and children because we may have some sweet ones come to our door for candy.

Bonus: My favorite fall photo from a few years ago.

Happy Fall, y’all! I hope it’s cozy where you live and beauty of the season is revealing itself in a multitude of colors. Don’t forget to link up with us today and take a peek at what else is happening at The Blended Blog this month.

    • Hehe! I am so loving them right now.
  • I used to work at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory when I was in dental school...and my job was to make caramel apples. I love them because they are sweet, yet somewhat nutritious!! XOOX Jodie www.jtouchofstyle.com
    • That does make sense...I bet it was a little messy though.

I haven't tried a pumpkin or cider donut either. Good luck with your job and finding a new rhythm! That can be hard at first. I have been preferring longing cardis, too. Carrie curlycraftymom.com
    • Ok, Carrie! Our mission is try one of these donuts this season.
  • Burnt orange is one of my favorite fall colors too! Those caramel apples look so good and I'm always a fan of pumpkin bread! Jill Doused in Pink
    • Pumpkin bread has got to be the highlight of fall.
  • Hi friend! You should come visit me for some fall temps!
    • Oh, how I wish I could! Someday...maybe next time I won't get the flu.
  • I can see where you might think apple cider donuts wouldn't sound good but they are pretty amazing; cakey and usually tossed in sugar they are like a plain donut with just a hint of apple taste.
    • I may like them after all. Cake donuts have always been my favorite. Thanks for stopping by!

I enjoyed reading your answers! I am loving the long cardigans, but sorry to admit that I am not a huge fan of anything pumpkin. :) Thanks for sharing with SYC. hugs, Jann
    • Hi Jann! Pumpkin is definitely not for everyone. There are most likely other wonderful fall flavors you enjoy. Thanks for stopping by!
  • I always enjoy these question posts and learning more about some of my favorite bloggers! I am a total pumpkin girl, too. :) It's been forever since I have done either a hayride or bonfire, so maybe they should go on my fall list. Thanks for sharing, Carrie!
