Yes to Cozy Sweaters!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve my sweet readers! I hope this day finds you well and looking forward to turkey with all the trimmings. May your pants are stretchy and day is full of joy…that is my hope for you!

It’s Cozy Sweater day over at The Blended Blog and I hope you pop over there and add your post. We always love great style posts. When I think of cozy sweaters my mind drifts off to something thick and soft. Unfortunately, the days that cozy sweaters can be worn all day in Texas a few and far between. I can start the day with a warm cozy sweater but by mid-day, I’m overdressed. Sad but true. We all have climate issues to deal with no matter where we live. Embrace it and move on and adjust your style. That’s the bottom line for all of us. We just can’t make the weather cooperate to accommodate our style.

So since we are vascillating between mild temps, I’m featuring a lighter weight cardigan that I just picked up at Old Navy. I mean it was $9.00, so how could I say no. I couldn’t obviously. A fun sporty sweater is a great addition to my wardrobe because it’s perfect for weekends. I love a t-shirt under cardigans almost every day that ends in Y.

I’m planning to wear this cardigan and boyfriend jeans tomorrow when my husband and I serve at a community Thanksgiving meal. It will be warm enough and totally comfy.

I do have a favorite cozy sweater in my closet. It’s soft and warm and makes me want to curl up on the couch to watch Hallmark movies or binge some series while drinking coffee or better yet, hot cocoa. I found this sweater last winter at Target. It was one of my best purchases!

Y’all have the best Thanksgiving! Enjoy the blessings you have today.

Hugs, Carrie

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Carrie! I love that you and your husband are serving at a community center - God bless you both, so many people will benefit from your act of service! xo, Kellyann
  • Such wise words... can't change the weather, so we've got to embrace it and move on - which I need a reminder of because it's hard for me to not complain about being FREEZING all the time. Too cold for cute mules around here, so I just need to bundle up appropriately and get on with life ;-) Love how chic this totally comfy look is. The tucked-in shirt with cardigan is so classy but somehow I never remember to try that! Have a GREAT Thanksgiving!
