The day has arrived! I’m off to my new job today. A new start in so many ways. Some things do remain the same though, like the fact that I’m linking up at Greater than Rubies. The challenge today is show to make a regular tee look amazing. I picked out this striped tee and paired it with my black pencil skirt and leopard wedges + some pearl jewelry. This is one of those outfits that looked good in my head but didn’t materialize like I thought it would. The photos also weren’t the best but I’m just going to roll with it.
As this new theme has been coming together, I realized I did lose a few pieces of the old blog in the domain transfer. Although that was frustrating to me in the beginning, I think as I move forward it will help me to be more focused on what I want to convey with this blog. What you will see in the near future is a few changes/updates in my pages. My posting categories will also be revised as I focus on developing a work wear wardrobe and weekend wardrobe. {I’m excited to have new categories to define my closet}.
I have been focused on purging my closet since January and have completed much of that to date. There is still a little more work in that area but I am in a place of contentment right now. I will also be working on developing capsule wardrobes and using classic pieces. My classic style will be a focus as well.
One area that I have neglected while I blog {and a reason I started to blog} is to share more about my marriage and my faith. I have had a little time to reflect on this while I had a few days off and I decided as I move forward I will incorporate a new piece called Faith on Fridays which will replace Lovely Fridays. The same sort of concept of a summary of sorts. It’s a work in progress so we’ll see how that evolves.
I’m also ruminating on a monthly post on my goals. I’ve been thinking about how intentional I have been or not been in accomplishing certain things in my life. Again, stay tuned you might see something along those lines very soon.
