Happy Wednesday! This hump day is not just a middle of the week waiting for Friday and the weekend kind of day. No, ma’am! Today it’s pencil skirt time and book release day plus link up day with the beautiful ladies of The Blended Blog. It’s a great day!
I am grinning from ear to ear because I feel I sense of accomplishment that I actually purchased a pencil skirt. They typically aren’t my go-to type of skirt. I feel very exposed in a pencil skirt but I couldn’t say no to this one.
I mean if red is your color {and it’s one of my favorites} then there is no way to say no to this little baby. I have to admit that for a pencil skirt, it really is comfortable. I found it at Loft Factory Store. To be honest, I tried it on and shared about it in this post. I didn’t make the purchase that day but went back and got it later. Guess what? My work bestie bought it first. Great minds think alike, right?
This little windowpane top isn’t new but I snagged it when The Limited was closing their stores. It was a super good deal. I am reminded when I put this look together that I need to wear it more.
Alright, that’s all I have to say about style today because…there is other news.
Friends, first, I want to thank all of you that stopped by on Monday and left me so many sweet comments about the group book, In Her Shoes: Me, Myself and I. I was so humbled and speechless by so many sweet comments and words of encouragement here on the blog, Facebook, and Instagram. I literally spent most of Monday night responding to comments and did not make it to my typical blog reading. I apologize for neglecting my sweet friends.
The group book is a collection of stories about women making a journey back to themselves. For me, the story involved dealing with forgiveness and restoring broken relationships in my life. It’s personal and honest from my heart. More than anything, I hope it is helpful to others and a witness to the Lord’s power in my life. It’s funny because when I wrote my recap in February for My Happiness Project, {here} I mentioned that I wrote several notes to people in that same vein of restoration. I know the Lord continues to work in my heart to allow me to forgive others and restore relationships. I mean, after all, that is why Jesus came to earth. He mends what is broken and redeems the impossible.
Well…..a few details.
The actual launch is TODAY! I can officially offer the book for sale. The cost is $15.00 per book with shipping included. If you are interested, please complete the form below with your name, email and mailing address. It will come straight to me and I will shoot you an invoice.
Please let me know by Friday if you would like to place an order. Thanking you in advance for your support. So thankful!
Be blessed! ~ Carrie
