Do you own a dress for all seasons? I have a couple of sheaths that definitely flex through all the seasons. If you’re thinking about trying a capsule wardrobe, then a dress for all seasons is one that would be a great investment. What are my dresses for all seasons?
My first and favorite is a grey sheath. It is definitely one of my staple dresses. The possibilities to remix it are almost endless. I wrote a post about this dress last fall and styled it in multiple ways. You can read it {here}

As much as I love the grey sheath, I wanted to feature a different dress today. This dress is from my capsule for September. The color is one that pops for me and this might be something you look for in a dress for all seasons - one in your best color. This style also has some flattering elements that may work for you as well. The fitted waist and ruching are both feminine details which work nicely with sweaters and jackets. The length will work with flats, heels, booties and boots. Lots of ways to transition across the seasons.
I tried this dress with a couple of my completer pieces for the September Capsule but in the end I settled on the kimono look. You can find the rest of my pieces here for the current capsule.
I think I would like this dress with a patterned cardigan or even a boyfriend cardigan {not in my capsule pieces} or a denim jacket rather than a vest. A striped blazer and boots would be a look I would gravitate toward when the temps are cooler too.
