Hello, friends! How are you doing this holiday season? Truly, I hope you’re enjoying it. Remember to breathe in and live in the moments. Memories and moments are ranking higher in my life lately rather than stuff. And that explains where I am with my current wardrobe, so let me unwrap what’s up for today.
Well, I’ve been talking about what’s going on with my wardrobe lately and by that I mean the ongoing process of sorting through my clothing. I’m finding that I can have a deep attachment to my clothing one day and a different day I’m completely ready to let go of multiple pieces. Does that sound familiar to you? It’s amazing how often material things can move in and take up space in the heart, which is meant for greater things than all the stuff money can buy.
Yet, in among all those pieces I am uncovering some looks that I enjoy wearing. For example, this one. I featured a black v-neck sweater last week. Here’s a remix with it and a completely new look with pieces that are keepers. A little pattern mixing and I loved wearing this to work last week. Actually, I tried to get a little hip-hop dance party going because I felt a little sassy in those leopard print sneakers. I was vetoed!
As I narrow down my wardrobe, I am working toward a capsule type clothing lifestyle. When I first started to blog, I was quite intrigued with capsules but I got distracted by so many style bloggers and spent too much money trying to look like someone else. After facing my closet of pieces I didn’t like and didn’t wear and owning up to dollars spent frivolously, I am ready to move on.
Capsules by Cladwell is where I’m turning to these days to help me organize and stay focused. I recently signed up for their program and have been working through organizing and documenting my clothing library. Why is this important? It’s important to me to wear what I own, to love what I own and to be content with what I have because I have more than enough. It’s also important to me to do a little documenting and tracking of my wardrobe because I easily forget what great pieces I own. When that happens I tempted to shop and I just need some accountability to realign and reorient my attitude in that vein.
Two of my favorite bloggers have recently posted about this program. Caitlin at Greater than Rubies wrote this post {here} and Audrey at Putting Me Together wrote this post {here}. I hope those links will give you even more insight into why a capsule just might be right for you in 2016.
In 2016 I’m striving for a bigger life and a smaller wardrobe. The moments and memories as well as people is how I want to define this next year and not just excess clothing and stuff. What about you? Does that sound like something you’d be up for in 2016? Hope so! Join in and….Let’s go! Hello Capsules made with love by Cladwell.
Oh, one more thing before the link-up. I was really inspired by the Cladwell video and it prompted me to put together something different and special for Wednesday’s post. Hope you’ll stop by and check it out. I’m totally excited. Giddy excited and sitting here with a huge smile on my face because I’m ready to burst! So until Wednesday, I leave you with the link-up.
And since it’s Monday, it’s time for our link-up. Thanks to everyone who joined in last week. Whitney, Casey and I enjoyed reading your posts and searching for our favorite looks. Can’t wait to see what you lovely ladies link up this week.

Where you’ll find me linking up.
