Hello, friends! It’s been a long time…but I’m back! The summer respite was good and lots happened. This means I have lots to share today about an adventure(s) and an anniversary. Are you wondering what’s it all about? Well, let’s start with the adventure(s). I’m going alphabetically here because once a teacher always a teacher. By the way, this might be a long post too. You have been warned!
My first adventure is part of the background in this photo. It’s our new home. Well, to be honest it’s a town home. We sold our home at the end of August and moved into a brand new one bedroom/one bath town home. Can you say downsized? Yep, we did and so far it’s been great! A new mid-life adventure for this empty-nester (that should be plural because it’s me and the Mr.) Big change after 18 years for sure. This is way out the comfort zone for me but then again that is the point of an adventure.
Next adventure? A new JORD watch for a new season. Am I adventuring in my outfit today? Not really. This one is a typical “me” uniform. I just adore mustard and grey together and thought this was an easy transition look. Plus add some trousers and a little leopard print and I’m totally in my comfort zone.

Remember I said there was an adventure and an anniversary. This week has been a week of celebration at The Blended Blog. I’m celebrating with my sweet friends because we have been up and running for one year! It’s a Happy Anniversary for us and fun for you too! So, let’s get real for a minute about these ladies at The Blended Blog…when I had a falling apart at the seams at the beginning of the summer and just couldn’t fulfill my blogging commitments and just had to pull back on social media they picked up my slack. Now if that wasn’t enough, they sent me cards to encouragement me, they emailed and texted me. I barely responded to their kindness because I was just done on all fronts. But you know what real friends do? They love you anyway! In spite of your junk and failures. These ladies loved me anyway. They are over the top fabulous. I just love them!
