Pray for Texas

Friends, I know you know about what's been happening in Texas. The magnitude of the destruction and barrage of images revealing the enormity of the suffering is heartbreaking. Truly, I love Texas! It isĀ  not my place of birth nor my first home but I can't image living any place else while I'm moving and breathing this side of Heaven. This week I have been touched by the outpouring of my fellow Texans as they came to the rescue of their neighbors. Tragedy has a way of making the playing field ... Continue Reading...

54 Things I’ve Learned in 54 years!

54 things I've learned in 54 years!

Yesterday, I turned 54 years old. I have to admit that I wasn't excited about this birthday. It wasn't so much my age as where I am in life right. I haven't been in a good place for awhile on lots of levels which made me just want to ignore the day. I sorta did that but I also spent some time in reflection. This is not a hard thing for me. As an introvert I can easily travel inside and try to dissect life and what's really brewing in my heart. I thought I would share some of those things that ... Continue Reading...

Welcome Monday Morning

Welcome Monday Morning!

Hello, friends! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you had the best weekend! As always Monday arrives whether or not we're ready, right?! Ready / Set / Go.... Looking Back & Looking Ahead

I felt like this photo embodied where I am right now. As we have moved into our new {old} home and unpacked to really settle in I have found myself really reminiscing. I realized when we downsized I was probably not in my right mind. I say that because I know I have given away things that I now wish I had kept. To be honest I've scoured local thrift stores looking for my treasures. Honestly, I wish that was a lie but it's the truth. My little heart has been a bit broken over a few treasures. I ... What’s On My Heart

heart

Hey there friends! I have tried to write a post like a zillion times but I just sit and stare at a blank screen. It's hard sometimes to write again when you take a break. The study break for the professional test inadvertently turned into a longer break from blogging, which made writing so hard for me. Eventually, I would just give up and close my computer and move onto something else. Except today. Today ideas and words and my heart all aligned to say what I've been wanting to say but couldn't ... A Beautiful Mess + Link-Up

Welcome, friends! To those of you who are mommas, I hope your Mother's Day was filled with much love and appreciation for what you do in the lives of your children. What a privilege, calling and challenge to shape and mold a future generation. It is not a mission for the faint of heart and it never ends. The challenge can be incredibly difficult and yet one of the most rewarding blessing in this life. If I'm honest, I would say that for many years now, I have shied away from Mother's Day. On ...
