Marriage: Communicating Well

Marriage_

Are you a good communicator? It depends, right? You and I both know what we are trying to say but sometimes the receiver just doesn’t get it. This can be a real rub, especially in marriage and life in general. Last Thursday evening at Re|engage the topic was focused on communicating in order to “Grow in the adventure of knowing and being known.” The point is to help move couples where they can grow together relationally, spiritually and sexually. During the course of the evening, we discussed ... Continue Reading...

Marriage: Encouraging Your Spouse

marriage(1)

Well, friends, it happened. Last Thursday the man and I were well and therefore we made it to Re|engage. All I can say is finally.... At the Opening Session, we heard a testimony from a couple that we knew from our days leading the MilitaryLife ministry. It is always encouraging to hear from other couples that have struggled in their marriage. This particular couple has been married for 18 years. It was the second marriage for both of them and with that came a blended family. They dealt with ... Continue Reading...

Marriage: The Bride

Marriage_ The Bride

The bride! Didn't we all just dream of being one when were little girls? I sure did! Growing up my dad's aunt owned a bridal store and I loved whenever we stopped in to see her. I have been pondering some things about my husband and my attitude. This week it's about the spouse. Friends, my husband isn't a perfect guy and I'm far from ... Continue Reading...

In order to move forward we have to deal. Deal with stuff, you know what I mean? Enter Re|engage, a marriage help group. Thursday nights are where it’s at for us. We attended the first big Open Group last week. During our time the ... Continue Reading...

Hello Sweet Readers! Oh, how I hope that your Thanksgiving was a grand time of food, family, friends mixed up with a whole lot of memories. I'm trusting you have much to be thankful for and this holiday just added more to that life category. I was a little under the weather last week and missed a couple of days of work. I got a couple of meds and was feeling more chipper by Thanksgiving Day. We did our volunteer gig and decided that next year we need to up our game on that day by staying ... Continue Reading...
