Hello, friends! It’s story day today. My little story centers around blogging and the blessings that I have encountered from it. The best and biggest blessing is of course the friendships. It’s strange but almost all the bloggers I have talked with did not anticipate the magnitude of how friendships develop online. It’s amazing how much you get to know others and their lives just by stopping by and reading their posts. I count myself extremely blessed because I have had the opportunity to meet several bloggers in real life. And this past Saturday I met one more!
I finally met up with Whitney from Whitney al a’ Mode. Whitney was one of the first bloggers I met through another blog, Greater than Rubies. {I’ve also had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Caitlin because she lives super close to me}. But today I want to share about a little trip to San Antonio. Whitney was flying there because she was going to be a bridesmaid in her friend’s wedding. I knew I had to go because San Antonio is only about five hours away. It was a little quicker for us because the hubby drove. I’m completely directionally challenged and we joke that sometime I might not make it home so he becomes my chauffeur. Sad but true!
Whitney and I were able to spend several hours together {with the hubs in tow}. We had lunch on the Riverwalk and of course saw the Alamo. Also, who knew a giant H&M had just opened? Had to stop…we had to!
Whitney had some activities for the wedding that evening so the hubs and I stayed the night. Ironically, I found the best hotel deal at the same hotel Deena {Shoes to Shiraz} stayed at last summer when I was able to meet up with her and Lana {My New Happy}. So we had to get a picture at this table because…
It’s the very table where The Blended Blog was birthed. Actually, we were going to call it An Eclectic Anthology but those words are not really blogger friendly. Here’s the evidence of hard work and a little fun!
By the way, I’m pretty good at arms shots instead of faces. Duly noted!
Back to Saturday…and when I walked away to the trash can this is what happened.
Perfect day with a new friend for life. I’m going to work on talking her into moving to Texas! Fabulous day!
