Create28~Day 16 A Thrifted Look & Link-up

Talking truth about thrifted looks today. The truth is that I never owned anything from a thrift store until 2014. As I would read blogs, I would hear stories of great finds from thrift stores. I decided to try my hand at it. So while I was selling clothes I would also do a little browsing. I found a few pieces that I added to my wardrobe.

Here’s the best pieces I found and that I really like. The pants are from Banana Republic and still had the tags on them. I had been looking for mustard pants and when I found these I really felt like I scored a great deal. I was pretty happy friends! The blouse is another thrifted item. It’s also from Banana Republic. Actually, I purchased them at different times and at different stores so it is just coincidental that both are from Banana Republic.

The sweater is one that I already owned and from Old Navy. When it comes to thrifting {and I am a novice} I tend to stay away from sweaters. My only rational is I have seen many with lots of wear. Of course this is a generalization and I could easily change my mind over time.

What better to make a thrifted outfit complete than a little leopard print. Right?

I did create a Pinterest board about thrifting. There are some tips and a few great looks that were put together from thrifted pieces. Here’s the board. Maybe you’d like to browse thrift stores from home. Well, here’s a couple of options. ThredUp and LikeTwice both appear to be good options. Recently, Susan at Charming Lucy wrote a post about ThredUp. You can read it here. Would love to hear your stories about thrifting. Don’t forget you can post your looks on IG #Create28BLovely.

You can link up your looks from last week. Can’t wait to see what you have created!

Tomorrow the style prompt is vests and jackets. For us in north Texas, we’ll be pulling them back out of the closet because our pretty sunshine and warm days will be taking a hiatus and in its place will be cold, rain and maybe ice. Brrrr…

Here’s a look at my favorite outfits from last week. Have a lovely day, friends!

I love your pants!! I am not great at thrifting either, but I have grown to love ThreadUp. They have many items that still have tags on them! In fact, they have a whole section of NWT items! I got two Old Navy sweaters that still had tags for $10!! So exciting!! Thank you so much for the shout out too!! Stop by today - I am giving away a pair of Firmoo glassees!! Blessings! Susan
    • You got me interested in ThreadUp for sure. Hope you're having a great day!
