Revisiting Capsules by Cladwell

Time for a revisit…

You may remember that I mentioned Capsules by Cladwell in two previous posts. You can read them here and here. As I have been working through a capsule wardrobe of my own by using Capsules, I think it’s been really enlightening and helpful. If you’re thinking about trying your own capsule and need a little help with a step by step process, then Capsules might be a great place for you to begin.

Their program will walk you through sorting out your current closet and building a smaller and better wardrobe. Their premise is to live bigger with a smaller wardrobe. I’m really on board with this premise because I have truly found by reducing my pieces it is much easier to get dressed. I love what’s in my closet and what I have is really remixable. Lately, I have not walked into my closet and thought, “I have nothing to wear” or “I don’t know what to wear tomorrow.” Instead it takes but a mere minute or two to put something together. That in itself is refreshing!

Do you want to know what takes more time than choosing a look for the next day? Ironing! Yep, I still iron because I like my clothes to look fresh and crisp. I have found that brings a new level of feeling put together. Plus, I was just raised to iron my clothes. I don’t iron everything but I do evaluate and make sure I’m not putting on pieces that are wrinkled. Wrinkled clothing makes me feel and look frumpy.

Alright friends, that’s my little input for today. Hope you’ll hop on over to Cladwell and peruse around their site. They also have a blog that will helpful too {here}.

If you want some support to not shop for clothes in the next few months, sign up below and I’ll add you to the “Let’s Be Shop Free for 3″ Facebook group.

Hope to see you tomorrow for our link-up. Have a lovely, Sunday!

  • I'm impressed! I never iron! It's not necessarily the ironing that I dislike but the cumbersome process of trying to extract my ironing board from my tiny closet. Although I've become more mindful when shopping...I try not to purchase clothes that will need to be ironed because I end up never wearing them.
