I’m on a Mission!

It’s about words and phrases and ideas here at the beginning of 2016. My focus words are set, my long-term vision has been determined but one thing was missing for me. It was a mission statement. I felt like this was another piece to the focus puzzle that was missing. I wanted to be true to my voice and not side-tracked in my personal life and through my blog so I set about writing and editing again.

After much thought I put this together. For me, the mission statement is much more important than the vision statement. It’s more of a daily guide for my blog.

I believe this embodies all that I hold dear regarding my blog.

Have you thought about a mission statement for your life, a season of life, a year, your business or blog? It’s actually quite interesting to create one and edit, edit, edit until it all comes together.

Are you wondering where all of these ideas came from? In 2015, I read Make It Happen by Lara Casey. It really helped me to evaluate my life, goals and focus. I knew it was time to tighten up and tidy up some areas of my life. So, I set out to do just that! Those areas and ideas are what I’m sharing with you this month. If you haven’t read Make It Happen, I highly recommend it. Actually, it was just on sale {the other day} for $3.99 on Amazon. Just follow the link here.

Tomorrow is the first link-up of the new year. Whitney, Casey and I will be back with our fave pick from last week and some of our style to share. Hope to see you then.

Have a lovely day, friends!

  • "...how to clothe your entire life in whatever is lovely." Such perfect words for your mission statement! I love it! Well done, friend!
    • Thanks, Sheila! Trying to focus on more than clothing from this point forward. Clothing ourselves involves such more than those pieces that cover us outwardly. Glad you like this and I appreciate your input!

    • Thank you, friend! Oh my goodness what was I rambling about that night?? I can't even remember because I've had so much going on in my brain while trying to revamp some things here on the blog and in my life.
  • 2016 is going to be such a year of change for me. To be honest, I have been really dreading it. Then I decided that I needed to change my attitude. Maybe I need to create a mission statement for my year.
    • It is going to involve quite a bit of change for you indeed but those changes can be positive too! I really enjoyed creating it. I feel a little more focused and official if that makes sense. You should try it. Here's the most helpful resources I found pertaining to blogs. http://www.aroyaldaughter.com/2013/07/18/writing-a-mission-statement-for-your-blog/ Make It Happen!!
