As many of you know Whitney and I decided to end our Monday link-up. Although it was a tough decision we knew it was time to move on to embrace other endeavors we both wanted to pursue through our blogs.
One goal I had for this year was to keep a gratitude journey. Although I had high hopes I must admit I have done poorly in this area. But all is not lost because anyone can start over and make it happen. Now is the time that I want to make this happen! I’ve decided to link up with my friend Shaunacey at Simply Shanuacey for Monday Moments of Gratitude.

Today I’m sharing how grace and gratitude have intersected my life this week.
By grace I was offered a new position with the organization that I have worked fat or almost two years now. Actually, this is my third position and this one fits me best in regard to gifts and talents. I am so grateful for this opportunity. I have felt so welcomed and encouraged! Honestly, I feel as though I am beginning to bloom after a long drought of drifting through jobs where I was feeling unsettled.
To make it even better, on my first day I received these beautiful flowers from my immediate manager {now if I can keep them alive that will be a plus}. Then I was treated to lunch by my immediate manager and the big boss manager along with a few others. I would say that day was quite fabulous.
On Wednesday, I received more flowers for Administrative Day.
On Tuesday we were in a weather pattern that was supposed produce massive thunderstorms, HUGE hail, high winds and possible tornadoes. I am ever so grateful that the storm only amounted to some very high winds and rain. Hail is something that frightens me since we had a huge storm a few years ago that took out plenty of roofs and cars in our community. Having said that we have endured overly humid weather, constant wind and on/off rain for most of the week. Not my favorite weather!
Since I moved positions, I also moved to a different location. This means I miss two of co-workers from my previous department. I miss them tremendously! We had become dear friends and I counted it all joy to see them each day. I’m grateful that I was able to see both of them on Friday. I stopped by during lunch to visit one and stopped by in the evening to see the other one who lives a couple of blocks away from me. Made my day to visit just a few minutes with each of them.
Friendship is a blessing! I have learned to be so grateful to work with ladies who are encouraging and helpful. My new co-workers are the same. I am blessed and realize this is grace from the Lord. So grateful for these few things this week that spoke deep into my heart.
What about you? Where has grace and gratitude intersected your life this week? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
I’m also linking up with my friend Deena {Shoes to Shiraz} for her monthly review series entitled Month in Numbers. It’s a fun and creative way to recapture what happened during the month.
What did my month look like during April? I feel as though I don’t have much to record number wise but I’ll do my best.
-finished 1/2 of 21 Day Fix Extreme {and then I went to Vegas - no more explanation needed}
-completed {0} zero books…insert sad face here but started 1 {title: eat dirt}
-had 2 morning breakfast dates with this guy eating this food
-1 blogging conference with 6 friends
-2 airline flights {go Southwest because you rock}
-1 ladies morning breakfast at Panera with these sweet friends
-1 good-bye to an old department ~ last day picture
-1 hello to a new department…no “first day” picture
-this what has been growing in our yard
Did more happen this month? Yes, of course but I failed to track it…I hope to be on my game for May.
Tomorrow I’ll be participating in a once a month linkup called Ageless Style. Hope you’ll stop by and see what these lovely ladies will be sharing for a Mother’s Day look with floral.
Have a great day, friends!
